What Glass Thickness for a Koi Pond Window?
Adding a window to your pond can be a fantastic way to provide incredible insight into your wildlife, but how thick should the glass be?
Selecting your pond viewing window thickness is pretty easy, we follow the rule below
- 21.5mm up to 400mm deep and 1400 wide
- 25.5mm up to 550mm deep and 1600 wide
- 33mm up to 900mm deep and 2000mm wide
- 39mm up to 1000mm deep and 3000mm wide
- 44.5mm up to 1200mm deep and 3500mm wide
Regarding the rebating it is better to have the rebate so the glass fits flush within it to make a nice flat edge for your pond liner to fit too, if you are using one. The rebates would also be best used all round if you aren’t having infinity style glass.
