The angle typically slopes down from the inside surface of the glass. This bevel can be applied to one side or all sides of the glass. The result is an aesthetic edge that creates a pattern, offering a visually pleasing alternative to a standard polished edge. The beveled edge also forms a prism that refracts light, creating color highlights. Bevelled edges are commonly seen on tabletops, shelves, and mirrors.<\/p>\n<p>Measuring a bevelled edge is quite simple. Use a tape measure to measure from the start of the slope to the end of the edge. Refer to the image below, which shows that only the width of the bevel needs to be measured.
