What is DipTech?
DipTech is an industry-leading brand that is part of the highly regarded international Ferro Group. They provide state-of-the-art printing lines that have helped to transform the silk screen printing process, providing high-quality digital solutions that not only look fantastic but are also far more cost-effective.
The process they use allows inks to be printed in a variety of opacity grades, ensuring endless possibilities of design choice and light transmission.
What are the benefits of digital ceramic printing?
When it comes to creating high-quality and beautiful designs, digital ceramic printing is the perfect choice for any bespoke class solution. The ceramic inks that are used can be printed onto any single flat glass surface and become bonded to the material via a unique toughening process.
The glass is tempered after printing. It’s part of its process, we can not print without toughing. The heat process bonds the ink to the glass.
This leads to a beautiful finish while the glass remains incredibly strong. Alongside being scratch-proof, the design is also UV-resistant and capable of withstanding continuous exposure to the elements, ensuring it is perfect for use inside or outside.
By utilising digital ceramic printing, customers are able to unlock an incredible variety of design options, including transparent, full colour, and opaque finishes. The method can also be used to create float, low iron, tinted, and mirror finishes, and it is suitable for use on 4mm to 12mm thickness glass and 8.8mm-33mm laminated solutions.
What ceramic printed glass can we produce?
We are committed to delivering the very best products possible for our customers, and our state-of-the-art facilities ensure we can use ceramic printing to create either single toughened glass solutions or toughened laminated glass options. This means they can be used for window units, roof lights, structural glass flooring and walls, splashbacks, countertops, table tops, shower screens, balustrades, signage, facades, and much more!
We can do different tones and opacities to make it become more see through or, more of a solid colour. See the below image for an example of the different opacities levels:

When selecting an image/colours for printing, please avoid bright, vibrant, and neon tones, such as pinks, purples, and reds. These intense ink colours cannot withstand the heat from the toughening process, causing the colours to lose their vibrancy and appear dull. Best file formats are PDF, JPEG or PNG.
