We receive a lot of enquiries about cutting small pieces of glass. Please see the information below for the minimum sizes we can cut. Unfortunately, we cannot cut any smaller due to the machines and tools we use. If you have any questions, please get in touch with our team.
Smallest Un-toughened Piece
2mm Thickness 50mm x 50mm square, 65mm diameter
4mm – 6mm Thickness – 50mm x 50mm
8mm -10mm Thickness – 100mm x 100mm
12mm Thickness 150mm x 150mm
Smallest un-toughened circular piece
4mm – 6mm Thickness – 100mm diameter
8mm -10mm Thickness -150mm diameter
12mm Thickness – 200mm diameter
Please note our smallest circle that can be polished is 375mm diameter the above dimensions will be as cut. This is too small for the CNC machine.
For toughened glass to be achieved, it must be at least 250 mm in one direction. For example, 250 mm × 50 mm or 200 mm × 200 mm for a square sized piece. A size of 100 mm × 100 mm cannot be toughened and will remain as non-toughened glass. Glass passes through the toughening machine on rollers with 100 mm gaps between them. If the glass is not long enough, it will fall through the rollers.
Maximum toughening size 3000mm x 1500mm
